Nick Slater

Nick Slater is currently Director of LU Arts, the public facing arts programme at Loughborough University. A key strand of activity is Radar, which engages contemporary artists in a dialogue with academics and develops new work alongside critical debate. He has a particular interest in practice that is public, participatory, process-based, and performative.

Prior to his current role, Nick was Visual Arts Officer at Arts Council England, West Midlands, where he supported the development of artist led activity in the region and was lead officer for Ikon Gallery and New Art Gallery, Walsall.

He has also worked in a curatorial capacity for Quad, Derby, and the Royal Institute of British Architects, where he organised a variety of exhibitions and events.
