Frank Abbott
Trustee
Frank Abbott works as an artist, combining film and projection with exploring different ways of working together with others. He has made television programmes, live performances and gallery installations often involving the re-configuration of obsolete and contemporary technology to intervene in public spaces in surprising ways. As a member of the Board, he is particularly interested in collaborative initiatives and the development of sustainable fundraising.
Over the last few years, Frank has been working in Christchurch Gardens (opposite Primary) on the use of that public space, and is currently producing interventions there in connection with the When the Future Comes project by Rachel Jacobs. He has been involved with the performance of contemporary music scores with the Primary Music Group and is currently creating video material for a REACTOR project. Frank is also is part of the team which runs Film Free and Easy, a regular public event which takes place at Primary and uses new ways of exhibiting projected material through an innovative ‘bring and show’ process.
