Rosie Hermon

Observer

Rosie Hermon is a curator with an interest in supporting artists’ creative and professional development, and the spaces in which they practice. She is currently Artist Development Curator at Freelands Foundation, where alongside supporting artists through the Freelands Artist Programme (2021-2023) and Studio Fellowships, she has developed a particular enquiry around artist studios as part of a larger research focus on how site and place influence artists’ making and thinking.

Her work with artists has included longitudinal support and collaboration, the development and delivery of exhibitions, residencies, alternative arts education programmes, publications and events, and providing support to access funding opportunities. More recent roles have included as Artist Development Coordinator at Chisenhale Studios in London, and curator of the multi-sited project Swimming a Long Way Together, working with Irish artist Vanessa Daws. Rosie is currently completing a collaborative PhD set up by Gasworks, Royal College of Art and London South Bank University, through which she engaged artists and arts organisations associated with the international Triangle Network as research participants.
