Khaya Ayomide Job is a young black creative based in Nottingham. She uses art and words as a way to navigate her way through the ups and downs of life, and to self reflect and grow. Khaya’s work is often deeply personal, revealing and vulnerable.
Khaya is the creator of Nottingham’s Femme Fatale Gals, an empowerment platform and annual magazine. The magazine takes contributions from people across the UK, and discusses themes such as love, life, death and everything in between. Through Femme, Khaya also coaches and runs a self development online course and writing workshops. Her aim is to inspire and empower people beyond their perceived limitations in life, through words, mentoring and music. Khaya is also the youngest trustee for Nottingham Unesco City of Literature, and will releasing music for the first time very soon. Her music is a lighter exploration of her life, and explores a lot of her racial and ancestral identity.
Khaya has self published 3 magazines under Femme Fatale Gals, the themes being Female Empowerment, The Power of Love and Vulnerability, and Purpose. The fourth and final issue is due to be released in 2022 under the theme of Becoming. This year Khaya launched her first online course and coaching business, in which she teaches therapeutic techniques such as EFT. Khaya will deliver a workshop for the NAE in November on the theme of Catharsis, and recently delivered a workshop for the Nottingham Young Creative Awards. She was also a judge this year for the YCA. In 2019 Khaya created and developed a creative health and wellbeing programme for 2 halls at Loughborough University.
