Naqsh Raj is an artist, educator and a mother, currently teaching at the Art & Design department at Nottingham Trent International College. She has a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts from the prestigious National College of Arts, Lahore. In Pakistan Naqsh was an Art educator for ten years at Comsats University, Islamabad.

Naqsh believes in the strong connection between visual aesthetics and ethics, which are in a continuous process of reform. Her ongoing work is a union of mechanical and manual methods of painting, through a repetitive and mundane technique for imprint making with basic tools. Possessing an empty space through relentless exertion has been her prime interest and embracing imperfection is a natural part of her current art practice.
