Capital Development | Feasibility Study

Over the last eight years, Primary has created a successful model which provides high quality studios for over 45 artists, as well as housing an award-winning bakery, garden project, workshops, and a free public programme of exhibitions and events. We’ve transformed a disused school in Nottingham into a new cultural resource.

We’re pleased to announce that we’re undertaking a capital development feasibility study to explore the long-term future for Primary in our current building. We want to develop our existing facilities, improve accessibility and environmental sustainability, increase public benefit, and consider ambitious plans for further development of the site and our offer.

This feasibility study will be undertaken in collaboration with ArtReach Consultants, and will include a strategic design study prepared by the architectural practice Pricegore, with additional input from conservation specialist Roderick Maclennan Architects.

The work is kindly supported by the Architectural Heritage Fund, Nottingham City Council, and fundraising by Primary’s resident artists.
