Making Place Film

This short film offers a tour of the Making Place Exhibition that took place at Primary in 2021 and an overview of collaborative community projects from the previous three years.

The expansive and celebratory Making Place Exhibition (2021) marked three years of our long-term community programme looking at how we learn from the city and how we use public space. Through mapping, making, workshops, storytelling, walks, design, play, and public artworks, the Making Place programme explores three central questions: What do places inherit, and whose histories are preserved? Who imagines the city? And how can communities interrupt, activate and re-imagine public space?
