Join curator Tom Godfrey (TG and Bonington Gallery) for an open discussion examining attitudes within Nottingham’s visual art scene over the past 20-30 years.

The session will consider the city as a shifting Venn diagram of artistic aspirations and audiences – relating to each other at various intensities whilst sharing the same socio-political backdrop. Subjects of interaction, alienation, and collaboration will be considered, in particular amongst emerging practices in the city.

This event is part of Not an Archive, an exhibition of new work by three emerging artists reflecting on the 70 year history of New Contemporaries, curated by Emily Gray.
