Join Primary, Himmah and Nottz Garden Project for a shared meal using veg grown on plots in Radford.
During this informal event, we’ll share food prepared by local cooks and discuss some of the key themes from the Nourishment programme. Enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal and meet other people interested in food justice, growing and sustainable food. We’ll take inspiration from the Gamble Street Corner project to chat about what a community-led local food system could look like. We’ll also be sharing seeds harvested from the gardens for people to take home.
Over the past year, Himmah and Nottz Garden Project have developed Gamble Street Corner - taking an overgrown and derelict patch of land and transforming it into an open community garden. It now cultivates a diverse array of vegetables and flowers that are available to be picked by locals or distributed through Himmah’s Food Bank.
At Primary we have also been developing our garden and growing veg, grains and flowers that we’re sharing with the community through our free events and Open Arms Organisation’s regular food parcel.
