Are you passionate about food justice, concerned about nourishing yourself and your community in challenging times, or do you have ideas about fairer food systems? Join us for a meal and conversation to share ideas and connect with others.
During this informal event, we’ll share food prepared by local cooks and discuss some of the key themes from the Nourishment programme - including ideas from the Spring Season on seed sovereignty and land access. Other themes to explore include food inequality and food justice; food and growing as sites for joy and pleasure; histories of trade, imperialism, and migration; sustainability and climate change. This conversation will help to shape the next season of Nourishment events and projects.
You can read about ideas shared during the first ‘Round Table’ conversation here.
This free event will take place at Soul Food Cafe (All Souls Community Centre, Ilkeston Road). The building has level access via a step lift.
