Primary’s Assistant Curator (Public Programme), Jade Foster, is the successful recipient of the performingbordersLIVE20 Residency on Curating Borders.

The residency is being supported by performingbordersLIVE20 and Never Done, and is an an opportunity for a womxn or non-binary curator/artist with a curatorial practice, from an ethnic minority and/or migrant background, to participate in a week’s residency in July 2020. During the residency, Jade will connect with queer artists of colour developing polyvocal, sonic, and live performance work.

Jade is an artist, curator, and creative producer of Caribbean heritage based in Nottingham. Their current research interests include contemporary art practices exploring institutional critique, queerness, sound, and performance art. They are concerned with speaking, curating and making art in the public sphere. Alongside working independently, they currently hold positions as Assistant Curator (Public Programme) at Primary and Creative Programme Coordinator at New Art Exchange.
