Studio A4 | 2025

Studio A4 is a residency programme offering an uncommon opportunity for artists, particularly those based internationally, to conduct research in a studio, receive long-term curatorial support, develop new work in Nottingham, and work amongst resident artists at Primary. This year, we’re working with Maia Ruth Lee, Dr Ruth Charnock, Lynn Fulton, Santiago Mostyn, Adam Seid Tahir & Amina Seid Tahir, and Eelyn Lee.

Santiago Mostyn | The Final Letters of Jackie Creft

Commissioned by Primary, Santiago Mostyn, a Stockholm-based artist, will present his first solo project in the UK, The Final Letters of Jackie Creft. The hope is to bring forward the legacy of the Grenada Revolution (1979–1983) as a template for imagining how radical forms of pedagogy and political self-determination can manifest in present-day Britain.
