Join Lisa for a workshop getting to know the common or silver Birch tree (Betula pendula) – exploring culinary, medicinal, and crafts uses. Lisa will also share the folklore surrounding this familiar tree and we’ll look at some of birch’s companions, including fungi.
The session will start with a sharing of stories and information about birch, with tea to taste. In the second half, we will make a birch leaf product for you to take home. This will be hands-on workshop for all to get involved.
At 1pm we’ll have a simple shared lunch that you are welcome to stay for.
Access: This event will take place in Gallery One and outdoors, all areas have level access. We will go on a short walk to visit some trees during the session. See our Visit Us page for more information. Please contact rebecca@weareprimary.org or with any questions or access needs.
